Policies & Procedures
Cancellation Policy
Asana Vita Therapy observes a 6 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you can do so up to 6 hours prior to your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee. Appointments that are canceled or rescheduled within 6 hours will be invoiced a fee of $50 which must be paid before booking future appointments. Repeated violations of this agreement will result in required pre-payment to book sessions. In the event a client pre-purchases a session, no refunds will be given. Exclusions and exceptions to the above will be made at the Owner's discretion.
Late Arrival Policy
In order to remain courteous to other clients, the Late Arrival Policy is as follows: 50-minute sessions will be canceled and rescheduled after 10 minutes if the client is not present, and a cancellation fee will be invoiced. 80-minute sessions will be canceled and rescheduled after 25 minutes if the client is not present, and a cancellation fee will be invoiced.
Professional Boundaries
Asana Vita Therapy adheres to all state and local laws, and we maintain strict ethical boundaries. Any requests for inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated, period. Such behavior will be viewed as solicitation and reported to the proper authorities if necessary. Furthermore, the client will be permanently banned if this occurs. If the therapist feels at any point their safety is compromised due to violation of the above, the session will be stopped immediately and full payment is due. We do not massage anyone under the age of 18, even with parental or guardian supervision. At this time, Asana Vita Therapy does not offer pregnancy massage. We have the right to refuse service, and the therapist or client may end the session at anytime. The client may choose a level of undress that is most comfortable for them. The client may also refuse any massage treatment modalities or stop the massage at any time and is free to leave; you remain in control of your massage session. The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
Medical Records History
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical attention, and it is essential that all health information provided be true and correct. Massage Therapists do not diagnose illness or conditions, prescribe medication or medical treatment, or perform any adjustment to the joints or spine. Treatment of certain conditions using massage therapy requires doctor or physician supervision. The massage therapist is required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician. It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment or medications currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the doctor, physician, chiropractor, or physical therapist that the massage may be continued. The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any and all changes in health conditions.
